About One Asia
この日本大学藝術学部が開講する芸術総合講座VIIIは、 一般財団法人ワンアジア財団が募集した研究助成事業の アジア共同体講座開設大学への助成部門において、 申請内容の独創性と国際性の審査・評価を受け、 平成２３年度に続き平成２４年度も採択され寄付講座として実施するものです。
The Comprehensive Arts course VIII offered at Nihon University College of Art was evaluated in a category for aid toward universities offering Asian community course as part of a research-aid project, to which the application was accepted by One Asia Foundation, for creativity and internationalism of the content of the application, and will be offered as an endowed course in 2012 after the course offered in 2011.

講座開設の意義と目的
本講座は、アジアの様々な芸術とその影響や歴史を考え、 国境を越えた共同体としての芸術が２１世紀のアジアに、 如何に貢献できるかを研究し提言する講座です。芸術はアジアの文化そのものであり、 人々の心を癒し、政治や言語を超えたコミュニケーション手段であると言えます。 そして、アジアがよりパワフルな共同体となるためには、芸術で国々が繋がり、 お互いに関心と理解を示すことが重要です。 伝統芸術からモダン芸術まで、その人のアジア人としての魂に深く触れることで、 アジア芸術の価値とその役割を再認識することを目的とします。
講座の内容
本講座は、アジアの芸術がたどった道を理解し、 その歴史と文化の相互理解の中から、 将来のアジア共同体の中で芸術が果たす役割を見いだす内容とします。 その人のクリエイティブな仕事や芸術感を通してアジアの芸術が複雑に交わり互いに影響し合い、 優れたオリジナリティを発見しその多様性を人々に提供してきました。作家の感性と経験、 社会の反応の中から感じとった意味とその価値を通して、 ワンアジアとして生きる方向を探求します。 本講座では、著名な文化人やクリエイター、舞踊家、俳優、作家らの講義から、 アジア芸術の将来と共通点を探っていきます。

The role of the Arts from the viewpoint of One Asia

Purpose and meaning of offering the course
This course involves discussion of various arts around Asia and their
influences and history, as well as research and proposing how an
international collective form of art can contribute to Asia in the
21st century. Art is Asian culture itself, healing peoples’ hearts
and a means of communication that overcomes political and language
barriers. For Asian countries to become an even stronger collective
form, countries throughout the region must be connected through art,
and it is important for Asian countries to show interest and understanding
between each other. The purpose of the course is for students to gain a deep
connection with the soul of Asian people, from traditional art to modern art,
and to recognize the role and value of Asian art.
Content of the course
This course covers Asian art, and provides an understanding of its history
and culture, to find the role of art in Asian countries in the future.
Through the students’ creative work and artistry, Asian art intertwines in
a complex manner, deeply influencing each other. This leads to a superior
originality with a wide degree of diversity. In the course, the students
will search for a direction to live as “One-Asia” through sensitivity and
experience of creators, and the meaning and values felt from the response
from society. In this course, we will discuss the future of Asian art, as
well as common points through lectures from well-known cultural figures,
creators, dancers, actors, and writers.
